Ingredients

For Brownies

  • 200 gr/7 oz dark chocolate
  • 150 gr/5.3 oz butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground clove
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 150 gr/5.3 oz sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100 gr / 3.5 oz plain flour

For frosting

  • 100 gr/3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • 125 ml heavy cream

For decoration

  • 100 gr/3.5 oz nuts & seeds
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

Make the brownies

  1. Preheat the oven to 356°F/180°C.
  2. Add butter and chocolate into a large bowl. melt together in the microwave in 30 sec intervals, until the butter and chocolate have melted, stirring between intervals to mix them.
  3. Add salt, vanilla extract, cinnamon, clove, and ginger, whisk batter together to incorporate.
  4. Whisk in one egg at a time.
  5. Add the flour into the mix and mix just to combine everything. Don't over mix the batter.
  6. Pour batter into a parchment lined 8X2 inch (20X20 cm)baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 min, or until edges are firm and the middle part is still a bit soft.
  8. Let cool in room temperature.

Make the frosting

  1. Add butter and chocolate into a large bowl. melt together in the microwave in 30 sec intervals, until the butter and chocolate have melted, stirring between intervals to mix them.
  2. Let cool in the refrigerator for an hour, stirring occasionally until it becomes consistent to spread over brownies.

Decorate

  1. Sprinkle with kosher salt, nuts, and seeds.
  2. ****We added a few orange sliced peels on top.
