Cornmeal and Greek Yogurt Waffles

  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil I used canola


  1. In a medium bowl combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a smaller bowl, whisk yogurt, egg, honey, and oil until combined. Pour into dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  2. Heat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions; I usually find medium heat just fine here.
  3. Coat waffle iron with nonstick spray. Ladle in waffle batter one tablespoon at a time. Cook according to your waffle iron’s instructions.
