Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz 100 gr melted butter
  • 7.4 oz 210 gr flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5.3 oz 150 gr semi sweet chocolate chip
  • coarse salt for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 360°F/182°C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Pour melted butter into a large bowl and whisk in sugars until smooth. Add the egg, and whisking well until combined. Stir in vanilla. Add the flour mixture and mix, using a silicone spatula, until mostly blended. Stir in chocolate and keep mixing as little as possible, just until everything is blended.
  4. Roll dough into balls, each about the size of 2 tablespoons, and arrange them on the prepared pans, spacing them 3 inches apart. Sprinkle each cookie with a bit of coarse salt and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are cracked and very lightly golden.
  5. Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes, then gently transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Recipe Notes

You can make the dough, form the cookies cover and freeze them. This way you can bake them whenever you want.
Cookies can be kept at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
