Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup 3.75 ounces/105 grams whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup 2.6 ounces/75 grams oats
  • 1/3 cup 2.6 ounces/75 grams brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup 2.6 ounces/75 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground clove
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 4 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 9 tart apples peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch (1.4 cm) wedges
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup 2 ounces/56 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil

Instructions

  1. For the topping: combine the flour, oats, sugars and spices in a medium bowl and mix until combined. Add melted coconut oil and mix until crumbly. reserve.
  2. For the filling: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 8-inch (20- centimeter) skillet.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the apples with lemon juice, coconut oil, cinnamon, and sugar, until they are evenly coated. transfer the apples to the greased skillet, than sprinkle with the reserves topping.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until tom is golden brown.
  5. Transfer to a cooling rack and coll for 15 minutes.
